Ever wonder why Warrior 2 feels so empowering?

Sure, a lot is in the name, however the reason this pose inspires the body to experience wisdom, bravery and unwavering focus is because it is connected to a deeper myth.

Yoga is full of these moments and teachings. We come to our mat with the same social challenges that ancient warriors, sages, gods, and goddesses faced too. These stories are timeless metaphors that invite us into the wisdom of yoga practice.

In yoga stories I take an essential principal from one of the various stories and apply it to both the physical practice and the environment. Part of yoga is “waking” up to it, it is the fantastic realization that we are not alone and still divinely unique. Knowing we can be unique, divine and powerful gives us purpose. Paying respect to established philosophy positions us to become timeless and provides us with answers to modern day life.
